Last throes?

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A bloody week for U.S. troops continues in Iraq, with three soldiers killed Wednesday night in a Baghdad-area bombing, a U.S. military spokesman said.

The attack took place around 7:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. EDT). The soldiers were members of Task Force Baghdad,
part of the 3rd Infantry Division.

The latest deaths bring to 24 the number of U.S. forces killed in Iraq this week...

My old measure for when a military excursion had reached ludicrous mass was when our guys were milling about smartly being targets.

We're there.

And, hey, even Myers says there's no military solution.

Insanity.

If Cheney, Wolfowitz, Commander Codpiece, et al wish to go to Iraq and personally lead these patrols perhaps, just perhaps I would feel differently.

Nah, it ain't gonna happen (pardon my dialect), for cowards never go where brave men (and women) dare tread.

Support the troops? To paraphrase something I remember from the 1960s, bring them home, now. How? Boats and airplanes.
